Project Role's Editing View

By hovering over a role in a project you can click the pen icon which opens an editing view for the corresponding role.

The three functionalities that are available by hovering over a role

In the first tab you can edit the basic information regarding that role:

Role
Active / passive
Non-external / external
Hourly rate
Hourly rate multiplier, %
Hour budget (estimate)
Organization of the role
Which task the role is for
Note regarding the role


In the second tab you can configure the role's competency requirements.

Role

Define which role is in question. If you allocate the role and later on need to change the role to something totally different, this would be the place.

Active

You can set if the role is active or passive for the project. If a role is set passive, the future allocations will be removed simultaneously. If you wish to re-activate a role, this would be the place.

External

Define if the role's work is internal or external work.

Hourly Rate

The default hourly rate estimated (=forecast price) for the corresponding role. The hourly rate can be inherited.


Hourly Rate Multiplier, %

You can use an hourly rate multiplier if necessary.

Hour Budget

You can budget the amount of hours needed for this role in the project. This value is used in some of Silverbucket's role based calculations, like in grid view and information modes.

The grid view offers vital information regarding the role, such as the budgeted hours for a role


Organization

Allows you to set an organization for your role. This can be used to filter roles based on their organizations, for example.


Task

You can select the task which the role is intended for. Managing tasks can be done in the project's tasks view found in the Project's Dashboard. You can also group by roles with this information.

Note

You can add a free note for the role which will show up next to the role in the membership listing.
